Sender ID

SMS Sender ID is the identity through which the message is sent. It is a character name which your outgoing SMS will be sent, and it appears at the top of the text message conversations. It is possible that you create your business sender ID after reading the regulations and standards and obligated to them which SMS.CC and its carriers need to comply with.
- There are two types of sender IDs in KSA. However, a client must provide NOCs (No Obligation Certificate) printed on the official company's letterhead along with the authorized signatory and stamp to register any type of them:

Transactions
: Sending SMS to your known clients, sending greetings / appointments / notifications / reminders.
- SMS can be sent 24 hours without limitation.

Promotions
: Sending advertisements, discounts, sales, donations.
- SMS can be sent ONLY from 9AM till 10PM KSA time.
- (-AD) is a mandatory to be added at the end of promotional sender ID.
- Sender ID must be in English and it can be alphanumeric with a character limit of 11 for transactional sender ID, and for the promotional type, it will be 8 characters & (-AD).
- Special characters allowed in sender ID are only: space, dash, dot, underscore.
- Default, generic, mobile phones and personal sender IDs are prohibited by KSA operators and not allowed to be registered.
- A client must provide a copy of the CR document and sender ID must be linked with the CR name for companies / institutions / government entities or the company's services / products.
- Sender ID validity will end by the date in the NOC. A client can ask to stop the sender ID any time before the validation date. The registration’s duration is depending on KSA operators.
- Sender ID fees: 300 SAR annually.
